Oud Market

A combination of 2 species of the Aquilaria family namely Crassna and Subintegra. The crassna wood chips obtained to distill this beauty were estimated to be from a tree of at least 70 years old. This tree grows in the east coast region of Peninsular Malaysia, not its usual habitat of Cambodia/Vietnam.

The top notes resemble more of a bouquet of tropical fruits rather than the striking sweetness of Trat/Prachin oils. Towards the middle you will get the familiar woody sensation of Crassna trees.

Our camera is certainly not worthy to capture its glorious shade of dark green. If there was a contest for best looking oud oil, we would not hesitate to put this up for nomination!
